How much does it cost?

  • for property maintenance (valid in any Tonbridge residents' permit bay): £250 per year
  • for property maintenance  (valid in any Tonbridge residents' permit bay and on yellow lines where loading and unloading is not prohibited in Tonbridge High Street): £250 per year
  • for commercial purposes (such as building works): £18 per day or £75 per week

Dispensations for property maintenance

  • dispensations are discretionary and subject to need and availability
  • evidence is required from the company providing the property maintenance of the need for the vehicle to be close to the properties being maintained

On-street dispensation

A temporary dispensation that allows parking without a permit in a resident permit scheme area. This includes building works and so on.

Slade School

Due to changes in parking arrangements in Tonbridge, Slade School permits will no longer be available for parents. Those wishing to park in the Lower Castle Field car park will be required to pay for their parking using one of the three options available to pay.

However, from 19 August 2024, 30 minutes free parking will be available in the following car parks, but you will need to get a free ticket from the machine each time:

  • Upper Castle Fields car park – closest to Slade School
  • Bradford Street car park
  • Castle Grounds car park
  • Kinnings Row car park
  • Lambert Yards car park
  • River Lawn car park

If parking for longer or in a car park that does not have 30 minutes free parking, please ensure you have paid for parking using one of the three options available prior to leaving the vehicle parked, you can pay and display a ticket, use the RingGo app or the RingGo telephone number 01732 550 110.
