GP healthcare facility or housing at Sovereign Way East
A new primary healthcare facility is proposed for the Sovereign Way East Car Park. This facility will improve access to GP services in the town centre and support the health and wellbeing of residents.
The proposed building will be approximately 1,400 square metres over three storeys and will be designed to be accessible and easy to reach by all modes of transport. The site will also provide parking, including accessible spaces and electric vehicle charging points.
The location has been chosen for its proximity to the leisure facility and its visibility from Avenue du Puy, helping to create a health and wellbeing hub in the heart of the town and improve capacity of existing GP services.
The site could alternatively be used for housing or a mixed-use development with appropriate parking facilities, depending on community feedback.
