Water safety
It is important to consider water safety when visiting this park. When there is hot weather it is very tempting to cool off in public lakes, rivers, streams and ponds, especially for children and young adults. In winter water temperatures can be freezing cold but you must not attempt to walk over frozen ice which may break. Lakes and water bodies can be very dangerous places, and even fatal so treat them with care.
Guidance on staying safe around water and ice safety is available from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
Events
We often run events in the park, so remember to check our events pages to find out more.
