A vacancy has arisen for the Snodland East and Ham Hill ward. An election will take place on Thursday 1 May 2025 for the election of a borough councillor. Polling stations will be open between 7am and 10pm.
This election will take place alongside the Kent County Council elections, also taking place on Thursday 1 May.

Verification and count
All votes will be counted following the close of polls at 10pm on Thursday 1 May. Counting will take place on Friday 2 May.

Voter ID
You need photo ID if you want to vote in person. If you do not have suitable photo ID you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate (VAC). This is a free photo ID document which you can use for voting. Deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate is 5pm Wednesday 23 April 2025
Register to vote
Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Friday 11 April 2025. Applications may be made on paper forms or online at GOV.uk.
Voting by post
Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address below by 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025.
Voting by proxy
New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address below by 5pm on Wednesday 23 April 2025.
