The Kent County Council (KCC) elections are taking place on Thursday 1 May 2025. Polling stations will be open between 7am and 10pm on this date.
The six divisions for Tonbridge and Malling are:

- Malling North East
- Malling Rural East
- Malling West

Verification and count
All votes will be counted following the close of polls at 10pm on Thursday 1 May. Counting will take place on Friday 2 May.
Result notices will be published on 2 May. They give details of the number of votes cast for each candidate and who has been elected.
Register to vote
You must be on the electoral register to vote. The easiest way to register is online.

Voter ID
You need photo ID if you want to vote in person. If you do not have suitable photo ID you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate (VAC). This is a free photo ID document which you can use for voting.

Apply for a postal vote
Voting by post is an easy and convenient way of voting if you are unable to get to the polling station. Anyone can apply to vote by post. You don’t need to give a reason.

Apply for a proxy vote
If you can’t vote in person, someone can vote for you. You can tell them who to vote for. This is called a proxy vote.
