Our next full council elections will take place on Thursday 4 May 2023. Polling stations open at 7am and close at 10pm.
This year will see some changes with:
- new electoral wards
- new polling stations
- introduction of Voter ID
- polling cards are not delivered postcards this year. Make sure to look out for an envelope marked “Important voting documents enclosed”

Deadlines for this year's elections
To take part in the elections:
- if you are not already registered, you must register by midnight on 17 April 2023
- if you want a postal or a postal proxy vote, we must get your application by 5pm on 18 April 2023
- if you want a proxy to vote for you, we must get your application by 5pm on 25 April 2023
