Planning applications and comments update
Throughout January, our team is managing a high volume of planning applications, finalising the implementation of a new software system, and processing responses to the recent Local Plan consultation. We appreciate your patience during this busy period.
As part of the new system implementation, some of our online planning services will be temporarily unavailable during Thursday 22 January and during the week commencing 26 January. Further details below.
These changes do not affect how you submit planning applications.
Applications ending in /PA
Any application submitted before 4pm on Friday 28 November has a reference number ending in /PA
These applications will stay on our current online system until midnight on 31 January. You can view applications until that date , however, you will not be able to comment on applications after the 22 January. All statutory notice periods will have passed.

After 31 January 2026, these applications will be moved to our new platform as below and this website updated.
If you need access during this time, which is after the notification period, email planning.services@tmbc.gov.uk. We have the information but will be unable display it online during this time.
Weekly lists for registered or determined applications can still be viewed through the portal.
Applications that end in anything other than /PA
Any application submitted after 5pm on Friday 28 November will have a reference number that does not end in /PA.
These applications will appear on our new platform, where you will also be able to submit comments, along with viewing weekly notifications of validated or approved applications.

Temporary service disruption - Thursday 22 January and the week starting 26 January
As part of the new system implementation, our online planning services for these application types will be temporarily unavailable during Thursday 22 January and the week commencing 26 January. During this time:
- You will not be able to view or comment on applications.
- Applications can still be submitted, but processing will resume on Monday 2 February, when all cases will be viewable online.
- Given these exceptional circumstances, we will extend the neighbour comments representation period for cases submitted from 5 January to 23 January from 21 days to 28 days to cover this downtime. However, any representations or consultation responses which are submitted up to a week after the notice period, will be taken into consideration.
We understand this may cause inconvenience and sincerely apologise for any disruption. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve our service.
