The purpose of the Local Plan is to set out a positive vision for the future of our borough. It helps us to decide how Tonbridge and Malling should evolve between now and 2040. We must involve our local community in the preparation of this plan. See Local Plan key stages to find out how this happens and read our Local Plan quick guide and watch our video to understand the key issues being addressed.
See What is Regulation 18 for more information and find out how to comment on sites.
We are now ready to consult on:
- the new Local Plan
- our Interim Sustainability Appraisal which examines the social, economic and environmental impacts of the Local Plan
You can find supporting documents and the evidence base on the Local Plan evidence page.
This is the first part of a two-stage consultation process. Termed Regulation 18, the purpose of this stage of the consultation is to get local views on:
- what the local plan should contain
- how planning policy can help to address key issues within our borough
You can comment on the Local Plan, the Sustainability Appraisal or both. The call for sites round 2 is also open.
The consultation is open between 22 September and 3 November 2022. You will need to register to take part.
You can respond by email to email@example.com.
