The formal Regulation 18 consultation on our draft Local Plan took place between Monday 10 November 2025 to Midnight on Friday 2 January 2026. The purpose of the consultation was to gain vital feedback on the draft Regulation 18 Local Plan, its policies and draft site allocations.
We have considered comments received from residents, developers, town and parish councils, statutory consultees and organisations and we will now use this feedback alongside our existing and emerging evidence base to inform the next stage of the new Local Plan.
In total nearly 6,500 individual comments were received during the consultation, showing just how much local people care about the future of their communities.
As part of progressing the Local Plan, we have now published the following information:
- A summary of responses for each consultation question. You can find this under each of the Local Plan chapter headings below. This sets out the number of respondents to each question, the number of responses received to sentiment questions (for example whether consultees agreed, disagreed with policies or sites) as well as a summary of comments that consultees made.
- The responses that consultees made to the Local Plan questions. These are presented for each question as relevant to the Local Plan chapter for which the question was asked. This information is contained within an excel spreadsheet. Where longer comments were made and are not fully visible, then you can click the box and the comment will become visible in the panel above. You may enlarge this panel by hovering over the bottom of it, when an upward and downward arrow will appear, then left click with your mouse and you can make the panel bigger by dragging the arrow downwards.
- Links to supporting documents that were submitted by consultees. These are presented in a spreadsheet and you can click on the link to access the document. Where it is noted ‘upload error’ our software providers have informed us that consultees did not successfully upload a document. If this relates to you, please get in contact at localplan@tmbc.gov.uk The supporting documents are listed under each local plan chapter link below and there is also a full list at the bottom of the links below.
