The formal Regulation 18 consultation on our draft Local Plan took place between Monday 10 November 2025 to Midnight on Friday 2 January 2026. The purpose of the consultation was to gain vital feedback on the draft Regulation 18 Local Plan, its policies and draft site allocations.

We have considered all comments received from residents, developers, town and parish councils, evidence documents, and other statutory consultees and we will now use this feedback alongside our existing and emerging evidence base to inform the next stage of the new Local Plan.

In total over 6,000 individual comments were made during the consultation, showing just how much local people care about the future of their communities.

Summaries of the feedback received along with individual question responses can be found via the topic areas in the list below. Please note that we are uploading summaries as work is completed. The summaries for housing, infrastructure and the evidence base will be uploaded on Monday 16th March 2026. Comments made on the local plan including those in relation to Draft site allocations are also available below. Documents that were submitted as part of the consultation are also available under each topic area. Please note that we are aware of an issue in relation to the links for those documents that were submitted via our consultation system, where we have been required to remove personal information, such as names and addresses for example. Therefore, not all links will work. We are working to resolve this. We are also working to provide links to documents that were submitted to us via email instead of our consultation system. These are not currently available but will be shortly.
