Provide a traffic management plan for your event

An application for a road closure must include a traffic management plan comprising:

  • name of event
  • event organisers name and contact information 
  • date of event
  • start and end time of road closure 
  • brief description of the event 
  • names of the roads to be closed 
  • the lengths of roads that need to be closed 
  • anticipated number of attendees
  • parking arrangements
  • on the day mobile number for the event organiser
  • signage and marshal plan 
  • procedure in the event that vehicles enter the road closure area
  • procedure in the event of vehicles moving within the road closure area
  • plans for event cancellation
  • emergency vehicle access
