Provide a traffic management plan for your event
An application for a road closure must include a traffic management plan comprising:
- name of event
- event organisers name and contact information
- date of event
- start and end time of road closure
- brief description of the event
- names of the roads to be closed
- the lengths of roads that need to be closed
- anticipated number of attendees
- parking arrangements
- on the day mobile number for the event organiser
- signage and marshal plan
- procedure in the event that vehicles enter the road closure area
- procedure in the event of vehicles moving within the road closure area
- plans for event cancellation
- emergency vehicle access
