The director of finance and transformation looks after the council’s budget. This includes:

Director of planning, housing and environmental health
Member of the council's corporate management team with overall responsibility for:
- management of strategic planning and development policy
- development management and building control services
- housing services
- environmental health services
Remuneration: The basic salary for this post is £103,101 and a yearly car cash payment of £4,812. Total salary and benefits is £107,913.
The post also attracts a separate fee payment, as appropriate, when acting as the duty emergency coordinator.
Director of street scene, leisure and technical services
Member of the council's corporate management team with overall responsibility for:
- management of waste and street scene services
- management and development of leisure services
- transportation and parking services

Chief planning officer (Head of planning)
Responsible for:
- management of the planning service including the development management function and plan making including the local plan
- supplementary planning guidance together with countryside planning and environmental policy
- conservation and the building control function

Chief financial services officer
Responsible for:
- management of the accountancy and exchequer functions including the budget
- statement of accounts
- payments
- treasury management
- banking and insurance arrangements
- payroll and internal audit and fraud investigation
Also prepares, and advises on, the council's strategic finance plans and assists with both procurement and the transformation agendas.
Remuneration: Basic salary for this post is £70,062 plus a yearly car cash payment of £4,140. Total salary and benefits is £74,202.

Head of street scene and leisure
Responsible for:
- management of street scene
- waste and leisure services most notably the refuse
- recycling and street cleansing and grounds maintenance contracts and management
- development of the council's indoor and outdoor leisure facilities

- deputy monitoring officer
