Request a land search
Our Local Land Charges Register (LLC1) service is now provided by HM Land Registry.
You can access the new national digital service your HM Land Registry portal account, Business Gateway or through Gov.uk.
We continue to provide replies to CON29 enquiries and recommend you request a CON29 search before you buy or lease a property or a plot of land.
The search will provide information on:
- restrictions on use or preservation orders
- planning applications that may affect the property or land
- whether the property or land has received any grants which could be repayable
- information or potential new road schemes which may influence the decision to buy
Types of search
- CON29 searches includes information on planning and building control decisions, nearby road works,
information on enforcement notices, tree preservation orders and any outstanding notices. - CON29O optional questions include information on minerals, hazardous substances, flooding and
drainage, common land, towns and village greens.

- Standard CON29 residential fees: £162.00
- Standard CON29 commercial fee: £351.60
