We are developing our latest five-year management plan for Tonbridge Racecourse Sportsground and are inviting you to comment on our proposals.

To get the draft plan to this stage, we have sought input from a variety of sources and carried out a survey of users, conducted an access audit and presented proposals to councillors.

The sportsground is one of the largest green spaces in the borough, covering approximately 52 acres to the west of Tonbridge town centre. It encompasses a range of outdoor sports pitches/facilities and natural habitats including rivers, grassland, hedgerows and woodland. The site has held Green Flag Award status since 2020.

Our overall aim of the five-year plan is to achieve a quality green space for the public, establish standards of good management, develop and improve the site and recognise and reward the hard work of staff and volunteers.

Our five year action plan brings together a site assessment, our vision and identifies projects. Some routine projects are covered, followed by some site improvements. The master plan map summarises some key information.

We look forward to your feedback on our proposals and to delivering future improvements for the sportsground, ensuring it continues to provide a valuable asset to the borough.
