You can comment on our new Local Plan until midnight on Friday 2 January 2026. This is formally known as a 'Regulation 18' consultation.
The draft plan looks ahead to 2042 and will provide a long-term vision and growth strategy for new development in the borough, providing a policy framework to help guide and shape the future of Tonbridge and Malling.
This is your opportunity to help shape how our borough grows and changes. It is our second formal consultation and the last chance to comment before the plan is finalised for publication (Regulation 19) and further consideration next year. It is the last chance to comment because after the Regulation 19 consultation, we are not able to update the plan, and comments are submitted direct to the Planning Inspectorate to be considered in the Local Plan examination.
