Car parking charges proposals
Changes to car parking charges across Tonbridge and Malling are due to be considered by councillors at the Communities and Environment Scrutiny Select Committee – 21 September 2023.
What car parks are being considered?
Parking charges are being reviewed at the following car parks and off-street parking:
- Two Bailey Bridge car parks, Aylesford
- Martin Square car park, Larkfield
- On-street parking, Swan Street and High Street, West Malling
Why are we doing this?
The changes in charge fees are being considered with a view in creating a more consistent approach to charging across the borough, and to meet rising operating costs which have grown by an average of 10 percent in the last two years.
What would be the new charges be?
The new charges would start at 60p for half an hour’s parking, rising to £3.80 for four hours.
