Tonbridge Scouts & Guides to march onto the castle lawn through Tonbridge High Street

St George is the patron Saint of England, who legend tells us slayed a dragon in ancient times, and lots of people choose to celebrate it with parades, dancing and other activities. St George was also chosen as the patron saint of Scouts.

The St George’s Day Parade in Tonbridge is an annual event featuring local Scouts, Guides, and bands marching from the castle grounds through the town (High Street, Bradford Street) to the Castle Lawn for ceremonies and promise renewals, attracting hundreds of participants and spectators.
