About the strategy

Our Corporate Strategy sets out what we aim to do over the next four years and, importantly, how we aim to do it throughout the period 2023 to 2027.
As previously, our updated strategy sets out an overview of how we intend to continue to plan and deliver our services to ensure they are cost effective and remain relevant to the needs of our residents, businesses, visitors to the borough and to our partner organisations.
It also states the values that we believe are key to achieving it: innovation, transformation, and delivery.
These values will enable us to deliver modern and successful public services that help to meet our four key priorities for the borough:
- Efficient services for all our residents, maintaining an effective council
- Sustaining a borough which cares for the environment
- Improving housing options for local people whilst protecting our outdoor areas of importance
- Investing in our local economy
