Special expenses
Local services are generally provided by the local parish or town council who have a separate charge on the council tax bill.
The borough council also provides some local services in some parished arears and all local services in Tonbridge where there is no parish or town council.
Local services provided by the borough council are paid for by the special expenses charge on the council tax bill. This means that local services are always paid for by local residents whether they live in a parished area or not.
