We’re supporting the Tonbridge and Malling borough to become greener. This capital expenditure grant scheme is the latest initiative forming part of our wider economic recovery and climate change strategies.
About the grant
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to cover up to 40 per cent of the costs of reducing the carbon footprint of commercial premises (including equipment and machinery).
This grant is open to Tonbridge and Malling borough businesses that operate from commercial premises. While applications are welcomed from all sectors, the following areas will be given priority and preference if the scheme is oversubscribed:
- Food production
- Tourism and hospitality
- Distribution and logistics
- Construction
- Independent retail
Conditions for getting a grant
- Any grant award will be subject to the applicant securing all the necessary permissions. This could include planning, building control or environmental permissions. You must have these in place before commencing your project.
- If your business is VAT registered, we will not include VAT in the eligible costs calculation.
- We will not be able to support any works that have already been undertaken or works which are started prior to a formal offer of grant funding being made.
