The waste collection dates for some households will change from 5 June 2023. Most rounds are not affected so if you haven't had a letter or email from us, your collection days will stay as they are now.

The changes are part of a package of improvements to our waste collection service. This includes replacing our existing fleet with new specialist trucks. See our press release for more details about what's happening.

The main areas where new collection rounds are being introduced are some parts of:

  • Kings Hill
  • Tonbridge
  • West Malling

Why is my collection date changing?

We're reorganising our routes because:

  • there's been a growth in the number of households we collect from
  • changing habits have seen changes in the amount of waste or recycling we collect

As a result some rounds now take longer to complete. By moving some households to different days, we can balance the workload on crews, ensuring rounds are completed on time and fewer missed bins.

What's staying the same

You'll still get:

  • waste and recycling collected alternate weeks
  • food waste collected every week on the same day as your main bin

There will be no changes to garden waste collection services.

How can I check my collection days?

Any changes for your address will be shown in your My Account and our Check your bin days search from 2 June.
