We will therefore email responses to any personal searches or any other queries until further notice.
A personal search can be made by visiting the Council's offices at Kings Hill, where you will be able to look at the Registers and make your own notes about any entries. Because you do the work yourself, the Council does not issue an official certificate of search or give any guarantee. In order to manage the workload, we operate an appointment system, so please telephone ahead to make an appointment on 01732 876124. The appointments are made on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 0930 hours and 1600 hours. You will need to book at least 24 hours in advance.
In all cases we need the full address of the property and a location plan, such as a Land Registry plan, showing the boundaries of the property in relation to other neighbouring properties. We need this so that we can locate the property and its boundaries on our Ordnance Survey maps.
Once your appointment is booked and confirmed with Land Charges staff, an extract copy of the Land Charges Register map is produced, together with any entries found. These can then be inspected on a Tuesday and Thursday between 0930 hours and 1600 hours.
