Validation requirements for planning applications

National Validation Requirements

The following types of supporting documentation must be supplied with all planning applications: certificates, correct fee, design and access statements and scaled drawings and plans.

Application fees, where applicable, should be paid at the time the application is submitted. VAT does not apply to these fees.

Local Validation Requirements

The Tonbridge & Malling adopted Local Validation Requirements document explains the applicability and content of the reports and assessments that may be needed as part of your application process.

You may also find our Validation Checklist Matrix helpful in deciding what you need to submit to us. This is designed to be used flexibly, as it should be tailored to the specific planning proposal. If you think particular reports are unnecessary for your scheme, the application should include an explanation of why these reports are not necessary.
