Community Infrastructure Levy
Introduction
The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a non-statutory charge on new development to fund infrastructure to support the growth of an area.
Status
The Council does not have a CIL charging schedule in place. The decision was taken at the meeting of the Community Infrastructure Levy Panel on 19th December 2011 to not move forward with production of CIL work but to keep abreast and learn from current good practice, especially in light of the publication of the National Planning Policy Framework and other recent Government announcements on the future of planning policy. This position is continually kept under review.
The CIL Panel report is available from the 'Council - minutes. agendas and meetings' page of the Council's website.
