Child Protection Policy

Child Protection is a public concern and not the responsibility of any one organisation. However, individual organisations do have the responsibility to promote policies and procedures which ensure that children are protected from harm.

Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council delivers a wide range of services to the local community and visitors to the Borough, many of whom are young people.

The Child Protection Policy has been developed to safeguard young people from potential abuse, as well as protecting Council staff and other adults from potential false allegations of abuse.

The Council takes its duty of care towards young people seriously, and will do all it can to protect them from abuse.
