Last Updated:

We deal with litter and keep streets clean by:

  • Education
  • Effective cleaning

We spend over one million pounds of taxpayers' money each year cleaning the streets and clearing fly-tips. Our Cleaner Borough Campaign includes educational and community programmes aimed at making people more aware of the problems linked to litter, fly-tipping and graffiti and to reduce the amount of litter, dog fouling and graffiti in public open spaces.

  • 'Bag & Flag' events
  • 'Bash the Trash' - community clean-up events
  • Environmental Champions Awards
  • Graffiti education
  • 'Food on the Go' - working with businesses
  • Snodland Goes Cleaner campaign
  • Street Monitor scheme
  • Working with schools

Effective Cleaning:

  • Street cleansing service
  • Graffiti removal
  • Fly-tipping clearance

  • Littering offences
  • Fly tipping
  • Waste carriers' offences
