Abandoned shopping trolleys

Last Updated:

From time to time you may see shopping trolleys that have been removed from supermarkets or other retail outlets and dumped at the side of the road. When abandoned these trolleys become a blight on the quality of the local environment and can be a hazard to pedestrians, cyclists and road users, as well as attracting fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour.

Where possible please report the abandoned trolley to its owner. Alternatively you can report it to us and we will contact the trolley owner.

Report an abandoned trolley using the online form As well as your own contact details you will need to know

  • Location of the trolley
  • When you saw it
  • Which supermarket the trolley belongs to
  • How many there are
  • The condition of the trolley

Thank you for your help!
