Forty per cent of people could have an intolerance or allergy to food with one in every 100 people having a severe reaction to specific foods.
Peanuts, sesame, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, celery and some fruits and additives such as colourings or preservatives are known to cause problems. Reactions to certain foods can kill. Your guests, customers and particularly children may not be aware that they have an allergy to a specific food.
