The Tonbridge and Malling Borough area contains 34 Parish Council wards. Each of these has its own Parish Council which consists of between two and 13 parish councillors (this depends on the number of voters in the area). Parish Council wards appoint their own parish clerk (although some of the small Parish Council wards are grouped together and share a parish clerk). Each Parish Council also appoints one of the Parish Councillors as chairman.
The Tonbridge and Malling Borough area also contains 2 Town Council wards (East Ward of Snodland Town Council and West Ward of Snodland Town Council). The east ward consists of 7 town councillors and the west ward consists of 9 town councillors. These two town council wards are grouped together and share a clerk.
Parish /Town Councils - Clerks & Chairmen
The Parish Council (or Town Council) clerk is often the best person to contact if you want to discuss matters relating to your parish. They should be able to tell you who your parish councillors are and provide contact details as appropriate (these details are not generally published). Alternatively you could contact the parish council (or town council) chairmen who will also be a councillor.
