Around 28 local businesses and training providers are expected to showcase their work and opportunities at the West Kent Jobs and Training Fair on Thursday 21 March 2019.
The event takes place at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge from 10am to 2pm and has been arranged in by Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Sevenoaks District Council and Jobcentre Plus, through the West Kent Partnership.
The Jobs and Training Fair is open to the general public and, as well as finding out about local job opportunities, visitors will be able to find out about a range of useful information including setting up your own business, locally run apprenticeships and training schemes.
Free workshops will include:
10.30am – Be your own boss (delivered by the National Centre for Micro Business)
11.30am – Interview preparation and techniques (delivered by Interquest)
12:30pm – Health and well-being through work (delivered by Royal British Legion Industries)
Leader of Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council and Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Nicolas Heslop, says: "Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council is extremely pleased to partner in delivery of a further one of these highly successful fairs.
