The Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Cllr Pam Bates, presented a cheque to her chosen charity, Tree of Hope on Monday 13 May at the Borough Council’s Kings Hill offices.
The total amount raised was £4,804 and the Mayor presented a cheque to Kate Bourne, Fundraising Manager for Tree of Hope.
Kate Bourne said: “Thank you to Pam for selecting us as her charity during her year as Mayor. We are delighted to receive this very welcome donation which will go towards our continued effort to help support children with healthcare needs and their families.”
Cllr Pam Bates, who is coming to the end of her Mayoral year hosted fundraising events including a Charity Evening at The Oast Theatre in Tonbridge and a Dinner & Entertainment event at The Old Fire Station, Tonbridge.
Mayor Cllr Pam Bates says: “Thank you to the many wonderful individuals and organisations in the community who have helped raise this money. I’m so pleased that I have been able to help such a worthwhile charity as Tree of Hope during what has been a very enjoyable year as Mayor.”
