Haysden Country Park has been nominated as one of the Best Parks in the UK and now needs votes to win this accolade.

Voting for the UK’s Best Park 2019 will open on the Fields in Trust website from 9am on Friday 5 July and closes at noon on Monday 19 August, after which the shortlist will be announced.

The one park with the highest number of public votes in each of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will be shortlisted and the overall winner announced in mid-September.

Get involved on social media by using the hashtag #LoveYourLocalPark to let people know you’ve nominated your favourite local green space and ask them why they love their local park.

Mark Rhodes, Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services said: “We are extremely fortunate to be able to enjoy such a beautiful park in our Borough where residents and visitors alike can enjoy the outdoors and spend their leisure time in the open air; taking advantage of the cycling and walking paths, the wildlife events, picnic areas, fishing, water sports and much more. Haysden Country Park is in very high demand by users and our investment in it has been well worthwhile.”
