Following the popularity of their first Allergen Control course, the Food Safety Team at Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council will be running this very informative course for a second time on Tuesday 26th November, from 2:30pm to 5pm, at their offices in Kings Hill. The cost of the course will be £35 per person.

The course is intended for chefs and other food handlers to raise their awareness of the risks of inaccurate information or poor food handling practices, which can make customers ill. They will learn the skills to read labels, accurately summarise allergen information for their own recipes and good preparation techniques to prevent allergen cross-contamination.

Places should be booked as soon as possible by emailing foodandsafety@tmbc.gov.uk and providing a telephone number. A member of the team will call back later to take a card payment, and then will send an email confirmation of the booking and directions to the venue.

Please note that, although anyone is welcome to attend, if there is as much interest as there has been previously in the course, priority will be given to local food businesses based in Tonbridge and Malling Borough.
