Brush that coat and put on your best smile as dogs and their owners are invited to come along to the Wouldham Fun Dog Show on Saturday 27 August at Wouldham Recreation Ground, Knowle Road, Wouldham ME1 3XS. The fun dog show is part of the Wouldham Fun day and will help to promote responsible dog ownership and encourage dog owners to help keep the borough's parks clean and tidy for all to enjoy.
Registration for the dog show starts at 10.00am with judging of classes from 11.15am until approximately 4pm, when prizes will be presented to the winners of each category. There will be a variety of novelty doggie classes to be judged including Beautiful Rescue, Judge would like to take home, Junior Handler, Loveliest Crossbreed, Fancy Dress and Waggiest Tail! A host of information on responsible dog ownership will also be available, as well as stalls offering treats for doggies and their owners.
The Dog Show is organised by the Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council Dog Warden, Lorraine Baseden, and the Cleaner Borough Team. The Council's dog warden service is provided by Ward Security. This year all proceeds will go to the following two charities: Abigail's Footsteps (Still Birth Bereavement) and Chinese Crested Club of Great Britain (CCCGB) Rescue. Abigail's Footsteps was founded by Ward Security's CEO, David Ward.
Cllr David Lettington, Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Street Scene and Environment Services, says: "I hope that this wonderful community day will be enjoyed by as many people (and their dogs) as possible. I'm sure it will prove to be a most entertaining day, and provide great support for a number of worthy causes."
