Apply for a Covid-19 business grant
ARG (Discretionary) Restart Grant – Top-up Grant
Having distributed our initial Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) allocation from government, we have been awarded extra funding to further support local businesses as the economic situation improves.
This scheme is designed to provide top-up grants for businesses in Tonbridge and Malling which have previously applied to either the Mandatory or Discretionary Restart Grants but are still feeling impacted by the restrictions aimed at controlling the spread of Covid-19.
The scheme will be focussed on the following types of business:
- English language schools
- entertainment, leisure and activity venues (including cinemas, theatres, nightclubs)
- freelance and mobile businesses (specifically in arts, catering, events and wedding related businesses)
- tourism businesses (including Group Travel and Tour Operators, B&Bs and event industry suppliers)
- wet-led pubs and breweries
- wraparound care providers
This list is not exhaustive and businesses outside of the above will be able to apply if they meet the scheme criteria. However, it is expected that this fund will be highly competitive, and as such priority for the limited pot of funding will go to those businesses listed.
Companies that are in liquidation or administration, insolvent or subject to a striking-off notice are not eligible for funding through this scheme.
For further details on this fund read our restart grant policy.
To apply, please complete an application form making sure to answer the questions as clearly as possible.
The deadline for applications is 14 October 2021.
Please note, as part of the application process, you will be required to upload bank statements and details of any employees. If you do not have any employees, please simply upload a document stating ‘Name of Company – No Employees’.
