We require a well organized person who is able to work as part of a team at our offices in Kings Hill. The hours of work will be from 1700 hours to 1930 hours on Monday to Thursday and from 1630 hours to 1830 hours on Friday. The tasks are varied and will include cleaning the toilets, vacuuming carpets and stairwells and polishing metal fittings.

One You Support Officer

(Health Improvement Team Support Assistant)

Salary up to £19,110pa
37 hours per week

Based at Kings Hill, ME19 4LZ

You will provide administrative support to officers as part of the West Kent One You Service ( http://www.kent.gov.uk/social-care-and-health/health/one-you-kent ), including booking customer appointments, processing customer information, contacting partners for referral services and monitoring service outcomes.

With a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above, or equivalent, you will also have an understanding of health, environmental, social and economic determinants which contribute to good health and wellbeing as well as excellent verbal , written, IT, customer care, and communication skills.

One You Advisor

(Health Improvement Assistant)

Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of local people? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new West Kent 'One You' health improvement service ( http://www.kent.gov.uk/social-care-and-health/health/one-you-kent ) . We are looking for an Advisor to deliver this healthy lifestyle work throughout the Tonbridge & Malling area for an initial six month period.

Working as part of an energetic and innovative communities team, you will support local people to make positive lifestyle, social and wellbeing changes to improve their overall quality of life.

Whilst working alongside local health professionals and key voluntary sector partners, you will carry out group and 1:1 health and wellbeing assessments and follow ups to record outcomes. You will deliver a range of targeted outreach healthy living interventions on weight management, physical activity, healthy eating and brief intervention on smoking cessation, alcohol intake (following appropriate training), and attend community events to promote the service.

We need someone with a proven track record of understanding the needs of customers and delivering high quality customer care, as well as working knowledge and experience within a health related service. You must be a positive outcome-oriented person, and be able to influence and motivate others particularly around behaviour change. Drive, creativity and strong communication skills are essential.
