Love Where You Live

Last Updated:

Throughout 2015, we and all the Kent councils are working together to highlight what can be done to reduce litter.

Activities include voluntary litter picks from community groups and parish councils, using variable message boards prominently placed in littering areas in Kent, as well as social media messages encouraging the disposal of litter responsibly.

TMBC's cleaner borough initiatives have an emphasis on working with community groups and promoting TMBC's Street Monitors Scheme.

Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council was the first local authority in the country to be chosen by Keep Britain Tidy as an 'Ambassador' partner to take the lead in the national anti-littering campaign entitled Love Where You Live.

The Love Where You Live campaign aims to inspire people to think about their communities and take action to reduce litter where they live and at places they visit.

TMBC are working with LitterGram to make the reporting of litter and fly-tipping even simpler. Visit the website for educational animations, and tutorials on how to use the app.
