Ride Successes!

In 2007, more than 500 riders enjoyed this stunning ride, with beautiful scenery, a magnificant riding profile and great event support. castle_ride_3

The 2008 Castle 100 Bike Ride was the third ride that has taken place at Tonbridge Castle which raised over £62,000 for Action Medical Research. 700 riders enjoyed the beautiful and hilly Kent countryside which covered 100 miles of the most stunning, and most challenging parts of Kent...including 2020 metres of climbing! The weather was kind and although a little windy, the sun shone and it stayed dry. Everyone that took part received a special commemorative medal, ride t-shirt, and a huge welcome on completion!

Families waiting for their loved ones to finish were able to enjoy a number of activities at Tonbridge Castle (organised by the charity) including the Kent Messenger bouncy castle, face painting, music, hog roast and a display of antique bikes!

Congratulations to all 1200 riders who took park in the 2009 Castle Ride 100 on Sunday May 17. The event was a huge success enjoyed by everyone and looks set to have raised over £100,000 for Action Medical Research. The camaraderie between riders was fantastic and the scenery was stunning. The food and lunch stops kept the riders full of energy and the live music and hog roast at the end completed a perfect day!
