Road closure A228 Kings Hill

A228 Malling Road closure at Kings Hill - 25 July to 6 September 2010

This summer during the school holidays, Southern Gas Networks will be replacing the gas main that runs down the A228. This will require a full closure of the A228 for the entire duration of the works. The road will be closed at midnight on 25 July for up to six weeks. More details are available here.

Making an application

There are two ways to submit a planning or allied application to us. Please choose either an electronic submission or a paper submission. Alternatively, paper forms can be obtained from our website or our Customer Services staff. Please read our Validation Guidance before you submit your application. We now make a charge for planning advice in certain circumstances.

Planning Policy

View existing and recent applications

You can view valid submissions using our Public Access system, where information is continually updated. NB If using the application search please do not include TM/ - just start with the year. In addition, the system requires that the number includes the zeros at the beginning of the number e.g. 06/00032. Before using this system, please read our Advice Note. You should also read about the limitations of the system, to ensure that the information you want is available here.

We consult locally on all application but you can register with the planning finder facility to recieve notification of any application submitted nearby to you.

Please note that, because of system maintenance, the Search/Comments facility is not available between 11pm and 5am.

Planning Enforcement

If you feel there has been a breach of planning regulations you will need to initiate a Planning Enforcement investigation.

If we are unable to resolve a particular matter readily, we may serve a formal Notice on the land owner and anyone else involved. Details of Notices served since 1997 can be seen here. In most cases, there is a right of appeal against such a Notice.
